I am tired of being Iraqi

Sometimes, everything goes as a race and you are in the middle of these have to focus on one thing (EXAM!!!)

Am I the only one who think that revolution in Tunisia and Egypt are really more interest than Toxicology!! I am sure I am not.

Yes, I had the interest in watching news!!

Weird to have that feeling after all that years of stop!! You can say that what happened in Egypt revive some feeling inside me. The revolution nationally inspired me and a ray of hope was seen in my eyes…. BUT unfortunately no longer!!!

The revolution in Iraq which took place on Friday killed all the laughter, and the hope faint away so far!!

May I not watch news anymore, please!!!

  1. It's horrible to see that some nations can free themselves of their dictators while Iraq is stuck in the state of violence of insurgents because of religion and believe.
Change has to come from within and has to be peaceful. Google on Gene Sharp and get his rules of non violent resistence.
My dear Hadia get on with your blog as a monument for non violent resistence. I still hope you will succeed.

    Take care

  2. Stay strong, Hadia. Your generation may still bring about a better time. Focus on your schoolwork and don't be too upset.
(I don't take my own advice very well but stay strong anyway.)
    Very best regards,
    John

Your day will come and you will be free. Free from school, free from violence and free to choose. This is my prayer for you and Allah will make it be so. Stay strong and safe. I think of you often.

  13. I loved in your book when you stated that your best BEST friend was Christian but that your religion was not in conflict with your friendship. That is the freedom we all wish for across the world. I have many friends all over the world and I go from being glued to the news to know what they are facing to feeling overwhelmed by the discomforts, dangers and unrest. My life here is so simple and easy, it should be that way for everyone in the world.
    Your wish is my wish.

    Hi,
I just read the book of your blog and I really liked hearing what it's like to be in Iraq. I didn't think about it much before. Also, recently my little brother was very sick and I was very glad that modern medicine was able to help him. I thought if you. I think you'll be a great pharmacist someday, helping keep people healthy! It's an important job.

I hope you can find happiness in your school and family. I am an education and history major in college and I am actually completing a History paper on why the rights of women have deteriorated in Iraq, and that is how I found out about your blog and book. I actually just finished reading it, and I am so sorry for what is happening to your country, and your friends and family. Hopefully someday soon you can live freely and the atrocities happening in Iraq will only be distant memories. Good luck with everything!
