Hnk, I think this is the best post you ever made (especially since I haven't eaten my dinner yet :) )! Everything looks delicious to me, even Najma's dinner and your cheesecake (I am really hungry)!

For my dinner, I want to eat the barbecue, the fruit from Najma's birthday party, some of the klaiga, three of your wonderful donuts, and a serving of your favorite sweet. After this feast I will have to stay in bed for two days! :)

Thanks for showing us some of the things you and your family love to eat! I wish I could come for dinner at your house. ;)

That certainly looks very attractive! You all obviously put a great deal of energy into it. It must have tasted marvelous.
By the way, I noticed some of your images are motion-blurred. To prevent that, of course you can use the flash, like you did, but if your camera allows it, you can also try to select a higher so-called ISO value. That makes the sensor more sensitive, so you can use a shorter shutter time.
Bonne chance for any further exams!

Nice.Hnk
What is the little round red things in Najima's dish?
I had the Klaiga in March in Tokyo. Very nice.
I have mentioned your blog to other colleagues, I hope they pay you a visit.
All of us want to encourage you. Your Najima has not written in a "long" time. Any effort you make will be rewarded.

How often do you go to the markets for food shopping? Daily? weekly?

hnk,
what kind of soup is Najima's favorite, Potatoe?
I used to make donuts in college for the cafeteria. They were reallllllly
heavy with oillllll, so very very fattening. I just dropped the dough into a vat of boiling oil. They would fry and also soak up the oil....I hope yours are healthier. ;-)

You might not be able to find the ingredients in Iraq. I haven't even seen "cream cheese" the way I'm used to it here in America in FRANCE! (They do, however, have it in Sweden & Spain.) Anyway, if you CAN find the ingredients, here's the best cheesecake recipe in the world:

http://javaguy.org/papers/cheesecake.pdf
or
http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:C0SgOREjqcwJ:javaguy.org/papers/cheesecake.pdf+david+bock%27s+cheesecake&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=1&client=firefox-a

You might, though, avoid making it. It's pretty much nothing but fat & refined sugar. The fruits you pictured, with their natural sugars, are much healthier for you. Enjoy bananas, vegetables, and meat while they're available. Don't drink too much Pepsi & eat too many candy bars if you don't have to. Your body will thank you for treating it well!

Good luck if you decide to go for my favorite cheesecake recipe,
Katie
